Graham on the Passing of Clemson Mayor Larry Abernathy

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) made this statement on the death of Clemson Mayor Larry Abernathy.

“Larry Abernathy was one of the most dedicated public servants I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  He truly loved Clemson and provided steady and strong leadership during his time as Mayor.

“Under Mayor Abernathy’s leadership, the City of Clemson has evolved from a small college town to a vibrant, thriving community which is truly one of the best places to live in all of South Carolina.  Larry will be missed by his family, friends and all who had the honor and pleasure of knowing him.”
