Graham Announces $3.8 Million in Scientific Research Grants for USC
WASHINGTON- U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today announced the University of South Carolina Research Foundation will receive seven scientific research grants totaling $3.8 million.
USC will receive:
- $2,000,000 for a project entitled, "SC STEPs to STEM."
- $514,498 for a project entitled, "In-Situ Classification of Bloom-Forming Phytoplankton by Imaging Multivariate Optical Computing (IMOC)."
- $375,000 for a project entitled, “Synthesis of Functional Composite Nanofibers Templated by 1D Self-assembly of Tobacco Mosaic Virus."
- $347,440 for a project entitled, "Collaboration: Rainfall-driven Intertidal Zone Carbon Cycling."
- $329,754 for a project entitled, "Developmental Changes in the Strength of Infants' Object Representations."
- $165,000 for a project entitled, "Collaborative Research: Development of New Heterogeneous Catalysts for NOx Storage and Reduction (NSR)."
- $143,907 for a project entitled, "Highly effective representations for surface and solid spherical studies."
The grants were awarded by the National Science Foundation.
