-- U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R- South Carolina) today announced the Department of Health and Human Services National Cancer Institute has awarded $207,100 to the University of South Carolina for cancer research.
“Cancer is one of the nation’s leading killers,” Graham said. “We have a responsibility to do all that we can to eradicate this deadly disease. I’m glad to see our state playing an important role in the battle against cancer.”
The funds will be used for the University’s Selective Induction of Estrogen Conjugative project. The grant will help support research through 2007.
