WASHINGTON-  U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Jim DeMint today announced Alligator Rural Water and Sewer in McBee will receive a $1,391,200 grant and a $3,160,000 loan for infrastructure improvement.

The funds will be used for the installation of 22,450 feet of water line and associated hydrants, controls, and appurtenances.  The award will also be used for the purchase and installation of four emergency generators.

Alligator previously received a $3,504,000 loan and $289,235 grant in fiscal year 2006.

All grants and loans were awarded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
