Graham on Stoltenberg Joint Session Remarks
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on today’s joint session of Congress address by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
“A great decision Senate Majority Leader McConnell and Speaker Pelosi to invite the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, to address a joint session of Congress today.
“The Secretary General made a terrific case for the viability of NATO in an uncertain world and the value it brings to the United States. He also indicated NATO nations are increasing their contributions to NATO at the largest rate in history. In the next two years, an extra $100 billion will have been contributed by NATO nations.
“NATO has been the most successful partnership in the history of the world, and it will have enormous value for our national security going forward.”
