Graham On Scout Motors Coming To South Carolina

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on the news Scout Motors will open a manufacturing facility in Blythewood.

“I was honored to have dinner recently with Governor McMaster and Scout Motors CEO Scott Keogh as the state was pursuing this project. This project is going to be a game-changer for the Midlands of South Carolina.

“The decision to bring Scout Motors will be one of the biggest economic development achievements in the history of our state. This legendary vehicle is making a comeback and I’m proud to say the new edition, an electric vehicle, will be made in South Carolina.

“What does this mean? Over two billion dollars in investment, four thousand jobs, and solidifying the Palmetto State as the premier manufacturing destination in the world.

“Finally, congratulations to our Governor Henry McMaster who unrelentingly pursued this project with a passion. Also congratulations to Secretary of Commerce Harry Lightsey who delivered big-time for Team South Carolina.

“When it comes to South Carolina economic development, the hits just keep on coming. And we’re not done yet. Stay tuned!”
