Graham: NDAA Becoming Law Is A Testament To Sen. McCain's Leadership And Commitment To Our Troops And The Determination Of President Trump To Rebuild Our Military

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on the Fiscal Year 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) being signed into law.

“This bill is a tribute to Senator John McCain, the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Senator McCain has dedicated his life to those who serve our nation in uniform. He worked tirelessly to put this package together and get it to President Trump’s desk.

“President Trump has given our troops an early Christmas present by signing the National Defense Authorization Act into law. This bill provides for a much-needed pay raise, updated equipment, better training and a higher quality of life for our service members and their families. The legislation pushes the Pentagon to modernize and reform, while at the same time providing them more funding to carry out their mission. I appreciate President Trump’s leadership on this issue and the work done by Congress in a bipartisan fashion to push this important legislation into law.
