WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement after meeting with President Trump and fellow senators at the White House about trade negotiations.

“It was great meeting with President Trump on his trade agenda.  I’m confident he is on track to get us better trade deals throughout the world including in our own backyard. I believe in free trade but it must also be fair. 

“Now is not the time to undercut President Trump’s ability to negotiate better trade deals.  I will not support any efforts that weaken his position. 

 “I strongly believe there is a plan in place to lead us to better trade deals.  We should give the president the time and ability to achieve his goals.”
