WASHINGON – U.S Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), who serves on the Senate Budget Committee, today made the following statement criticizing President Obama’s budget proposal.
“To say this budget is a disappointment would be a tremendous understatement.
“The Obama budget doubles the national debt by 2012 and triples it by 2019. The spending reductions are not close to what is necessary to get our fiscal house in order. The Obama budget is also silent on the elephant in the room and that's the future growth of entitlements.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues to rein in government spending and reforming entitlements.”
