WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on President Trump’s continuing trade negotiations with China.

“I completely support President Trump’s approach in trade negotiations with China. This is the last, best chance for America and the world to get China to play by the rules.

“For years, China has been cheating on intellectual property, currency manipulation, and state-owned enterprises.

“When it comes to China, they will never change their behavior until someone stands up to them.  I’m proud of President Trump’s willingness to work with China, but most importantly, to stand up to China.

“The time for China to play by the rules is now at hand.”
