WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on the funding bill and President Trump’s expected decision to declare a national emergency to build additional wall-barriers.

Graham said:

“The budget deal is a down payment on the wall, provides funding for more immigration judges, and does not include a cap on detention beds for violent illegal immigrant offenders.

“It’s now time for President Trump to use executive power, including declaring national emergency, to build the wall.

“I stand firmly behind President Trump’s decision to use executive powers to build the wall-barriers we desperately need.”
