WASHINGTON -- U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) announced today the U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded the city of Mullins a $19,910 rural development grant.
Funds will be used to purchase thirteen new self contained breathing air packs for the fire department. The equipment will improve the department’s ability to execute search and rescue missions.
The project will be supplemented with a contribution from the City of $36, 200.
“Firefighters risk their lives to protect others, and they deserve the best equipment available,” said Graham.
